Legal Aid Service of Collier County’s Immigration Unit provides assistance to income eligible residents of Collier County, especially to the community’s vulnerable immigrant population in the following areas:
We assist immigrant victims of domestic violence, victims of trafficking in persons, and victims of other violent crimes, in obtaining lawful immigration status.
We represent abused, abandoned, or neglected immigrant children in their applications for lawful permanent residence.
In removal proceedings in immigration court, we represent clients with meritorious defenses such as adjustment, cancellation, political asylum, and NACARA.
We also work at family reunification through family petitions and visa practice, especially for families of farm workers.
We represent TPS applicants. Citizenship applicants are referred to other non profit groups in the county like Catholic Charities, 239-657-6242 or Lutheran Services 239-278-5400 X237 with offices in Naples and Bonita Springs.
