Elderly Senior Collier

The Senior Citizen Unit provides legal advice and representation to Collier County residents who are 60 years of age or older. While there are no specific financial eligibility requirements, the project targets its services to those with the greatest economic and social need. Legal Aid Service of Collier County receives assistance from Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. as grantee of the area agency on aging for Southwest Florida.

The Unit provides legal advice and representation in the following areas:

Health and Public Benefits:

• Food Stamps
• SSI and Social Security
• Medicaid
• Medicare
• Managed Care and Long Term Care

Housing Issues:

• Landlord Tenant
• Public/Subsidized housing
• Eviction Defense
• Foreclosure
