HOUSING

Legal Aid Service of Collier County (LASCC) helps to ensure fair treatment for low-income tenants of Collier County by increasing and preserving the supply of decent affordable housing; by improving existing housing conditions, including physical conditions and management practices; by expanding and enforcing low-income tenants' rights.

LASCC provides legal assistance, advocacy and housing expertise to both individual clients and to tenant groups in the areas of:

  • Eviction Defense and enforcement of tenants' rights
  • Illegal lockout or shut-off of utilities 
  • Settling landlord-tenant disputes  
  • Public housing or Section 8 disputes
  • Request for repairs
  • Mobile Homes/Parks
  • Code Enforcement issues 
  • Other housing matters

LASCC is also committed to community outreach/education, public policy advocacy, and collaboration with community-based organizations and government agencies regarding the housing needs of Collier County's low-income residents.

Intake:

Because the Housing unit receives a high volume of clients, we suggest that you call our intake line at          (239) 775-4555 to discuss your problem and possibly arrange an appointment. The Housing Unit accepts applications at Legal Aid offices located at 4125 East Tamiami Trail, Naples , FL , 34112 .  Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

  • Picture Identification 
  • Proof of Income (paycheck stubs, bank account statement)  

When you come in, please bring all documents relevant to your situation, including any documents from the Court, notices from your landlord or the County, your lease or rental agreement if you have one, your rent receipts or other proof that you are a tenant and have paid your rent, and pictures of any conditions or problems that may exist in your apartment.
